Responsibilities:

Next Issue Media, a bay area based company is growing our mobile development team in Vancouver and we are looking for a hands-on engineering manager to be a technical leader for this location. We are seeking candidates who are comfortable with people management and mentoring, who are comfortable contributing code, and excel at setting the direction and vision for the platform. In addition to management of the Vancouver office, this position will have oversight of the Android platform team for both the US and Canada locations.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead a team of software engineers responsible for the design, development, and testing for all product releases. This includes part-time hands-on engineering responsibilities.
  • Mentor and coach engineers with various experience levels, to help them become more effective software engineers.
  • Work with colleagues in Product Management and other development teams to collect requirements, describe features, build technical designs, and drive product strategy.

Qualifications:
